The ExoFit Tower Climbing Harness is one of the most comfortable climbing harnesses on the market. We've paired it with other essential gear such as the 1244409 100% Tie Off Lanyard from DBI-SALA and given you a couple great options for positioning lanyards.
The ExoFit Tower Climbing Harness provides comfort and safety for those who work at heights all day long. A removable seat sling and ergonomic back pad along with cushioned hip and leg straps make this one of the most comfortable harnesses in the industry. The ExoFit Tower Climbing Harness has quick-connect buckles and side D-rings for positioning and a 420 lb. capacity for the worker and his tools.
One of the standards in the climbing industry, and for good reason. At 5.2 lbs. the ShockWave2 100% Tie Off Lanyard from DBI-SALA is nearly a half pound lighter than the similar lanyards with steel hooks. And when you have to haul it up with you, every ounce counts.
This is a double-leg, stretch-style lanyard that extends to 6 feet when you need it, but contracts to 4.5 feet when loose to stay out of your way while climbing and working. Meets all applicable OSHA and ANSI Standards.
With the ExoFit Tower Climbing Harness Kit you have a choice between two adjustable positioning lanyards. The first is the 6 ft. adjustable webbing lanyard from DBI-SALA.
At 2.2 lbs. this 6 ft. lanyard features two standard steel snap hook and meets all OSHA and ANSI standards pertaining to positioning lanyards. Made from 1 in. polyester webbing, the 1231016 lanyard's hooks have 3/4 in. gate openings that are rated to 3,600 lbs. minimum breaking strength.
The second lanyard option comes at a premium, but for a reason. The rope adjuster can be easily manipulated with one hand while working. Adjustment while in position is simple and quick, and the rope has a sleeve for abrasion resistance.
This lanyard is also 2.2 lbs. but has a full two feet more range than the 1231016. If you have to reposition often while working, you should consider the added benefit a lanyard like this can provide.
An optional addition to this kit is a Petzl helmet. Excellent design, and a foundation of long climbing experience make the VERTEX VENT and VERTEX BENT helmets ideal for the tower climbing industry. Smart fit features like the adjustment wheels make getting the perfect fit for your dome very easy, even with gloved hands. Strong chin straps assure they won't come off in the event of a fall.
